These easy-to-make frames are the perfect way to welcome spring.
Enhance even the most beautiful photos with pressed flowers and add a delicate visual accent to your picture collection, too.
Start with brightly colored spring blooms such as violets, pansies, and lavender. Scatter the flowers around a favorite family photo in one of these easy-to-assemble pressed-flower frames, and you can admire the first blooms of spring all year long.

What You Need:
* Ready-made clip frame (for custom sizes, have two pieces of Plexiglas cut at a framing store, and buy binder clips at an office supply store)
* Dried, pressed flowers and/or leaves
* Colored art paper
* Craft glue

Instructions:

1. Collect colored blooms suitable for pressing. Choose flowers that are open and dry, as moisture can cause mold. Put the blooms and leaves between two pieces of waxed paper and place in the middle pages of a heavy book. Keep them there, lying flat and in a warm, dry spot, for seven to 10 days. (Alternatively, you can buy already-pressed flowers, available at most craft stores.)

2. Choose a photo and a clip frame with enough room for the picture and decorations. Using a dab of craft glue on the back corners, secure the photo to one of the pieces of glass. If you'd like, you can mount the photo first on acid-free art paper, available at craft stores.

3. The dried flowers will be delicate, so handle with care. Place flowers on the glass with the glued photograph. Add a drop of craft glue -- use it sparingly -- to the back of each bloom and gently press down. Wait a minute or two until the glue has fully dried, then carefully place the second sheet of glass on top, lining up the edges. Fasten all four sides together with clips.
